The chopsticks have lifted the booster but the hydraulic stabiliser pins on the transporter are still connected. They tower crane and the transporter stabiliser have to work very closely together at this stage.

Ship 24 Overview:
Ship 24 is the latest Starship prototype with hopes of supporting an orbital demonstration flight. Ship 24 has heat tiles covering the entire windward side of the vehicle which will ensure its ability to reenter the atmosphere safely. It is expected that Ship 24 will undergo a test campaign ahead of an orbital flight.
Currently, Ship 24 is stacked on top of Booster 7 on the orbital launch mount. S24 is being supported by the chopstick arms while cryogenic testing of both vehicles and engines testing of Booster 7 is being conducted.

Booster 7 Overview:
Booster 7 is the latest Super Heavy prototype that will undergo testing ahead of an orbital flight. Booster 7 (B7) is able to host 33 Raptor engines. Combined with Ship 24, Booster 7 could be the first booster prototype to launch a Starship to orbit.

Could you add a guesstimate for launch date (or range)? I’d like to go watch the launch, but I haven’t been following every little thing, and it will take several days to drive down there. Having people that are paying attention and have a good idea of the milestones that make for an imminent launch give an estimate would be really nice! Thanks!

LRLO 20-119A only covers suborbital flights. It is not enough for the orbital test.

A bit of a mistake with the article: the road closure for December 15th is still labeled as “in progress.” The closure for the 16th is also still there.
What does “NET Monday” mean? Is it just “currently expected Monday”?
“NET” means “No earlier than”. Schedule slip is common enough in rocketry that exact dates are often difficult to predict in advance.
Newspapers now say “not earlier than” Apr 10 Monday, so a date would be helpful 🙂
