When is Starship’s first Orbital Launch? | Live Updates

Ship 20 Overview:

Ship 20 is the first Starship prototype capable of supporting an orbital demonstration flight. It will be lifted into orbit by Booster 4 under the power of 29 Raptor engines. Ship 20 has heat tiles on the windward side and flaps which will ensure its ability to reenter the atmosphere safely. It is expected that Ship 20 will be placed on Booster 4 for fit checks and then be moved to conduct testing including static fires.

Booster 4 Overview:

Booster 4 is the first Super Heavy prototype that is capable of supporting an orbital demonstration flight with Starship. Booster 4 (B4) will boost Ship 20 (S20) into orbit under the power of 29 Raptor engines. Booster 4 has been placed on the orbital launch pad for fit checks. It is expected that B4 will be moved to sub-orbital pad A for testing. Booster 4 is then expected to undergo a rigorous test campaign including several static fires.
