Ship 25 Overview:

Ship 25 is the latest Starship prototype with hopes of supporting the next orbital launch attempt. Ship 25 has heat tiles covering the entire windward side of the vehicle which will ensure its ability to reenter the atmosphere safely. It is expected that Ship 25 will undergo a test campaign ahead of an orbital flight.

Currently, Ship 25 is on suborbital pad B undergoing the beginnings of its test campaign.

Booster 9 Overview:

Booster 9 is the latest Super Heavy prototype that will undergo testing ahead of an orbital flight. Booster 9 (B9) is able to host 33 Raptor engines. Combined with Ship 25, Booster 9 could be the first booster prototype to launch a Starship to orbit (since Booster 7 kinda blew up).

  1. Great page, however it would be nice with more stage 0 information. It would be super with a “Stage 0” tab next to the “Starship 25” and “Booster 9” tabs. Please consider adding milestones for stage 0 as well!

  2. Just noticed that one milestone event is labeled as “Ship 24 TPS (Thermal Protection System) Completion”. I am fairly sure that Ship 24 is in hundreds of pieces at the bottom of the Gulf of Mexico 🙂

  3. I think there is an update pending. 29 booster raptors are history. 31 is the new 33. Hotstaging article isn’t in that list and other important things or events. Lifting OLM is -after the rock-tornado- beneath deluge-plate test an other thing what belongs to 2. orbital launch attempt.

  4. Great article, but I agree, it needs more Stage Zero info. Will you name your last child Ceasean? ;?)
    Thanks, DonS
